Communicating the most important story in history has so far been sadly inadequate.

Credit and love to everyone, every organisation, charity and business that does attempt to cut through with messaging, to not only warn people about what’s coming, but encourage them to take meaningful action to reduce the impact.

Still, not enough of it lands.

We have rising toxic emissions warming our planet, rising levels of plastic pollution, rising numbers of animals taking up vast areas of precious land and resources, before being killed.

We have invented technologies that could make so many things better, but in the wrong human hands, are only making things far worse. They might even wipe us out…

All the time, while millions of people are gaslit into voting for politicians who will only make the situation even worse.

Ethical Disruption is here to cut through the noise and give everyone the information they need, to lead a life that is less harmful to everyone and everything on the planet.

This will involve some radical moves, turning up in spaces we might not be expected to, using messaging that ‘green’ campaigners haven’t traditionally explored, but always telling the facts as they truly are, and backing up everything with indisputable proof.

We are also here to champion those who are putting the planet before profit - or at least on a par with it, including genuine green businesses and brands.

We are here to make a positive difference, or die trying.

HOW GREEN IS IT?

About 60% of all clothing produced today is made from synthetic fibres - polyester, nylon, acrylic - which are, in practical terms, plastic.

They shed microplastic fibres into waterways with every wash. They do not biodegrade. They end up in landfill, in the ocean, and increasingly in human bodies.

Fast fashion’s environmental toll is staggering, and most of it is invisible at the point of purchase. Choosing clothing made from organic, natural fibres and produced without hazardous chemicals means opting out of one of the most polluting supply chains on the planet.

Our own store sells clothing produced through Teemill, the Isle of Wight-based circular fashion platform. Every garment is made from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton, with a living wage paid across the supply chain.

The company is certified carbon neutral, uses renewable energy throughout production, and prints to order - eliminating warehouse overstock. Every product carries a QR code on its label allowing customers to return it when worn out, whereupon it is recycled through Teemill's fibre-to-fibre Remill process and remade into new products.

Low-impact non-toxic dyes are used throughout, and all products are vegan. There is no plastic packaging.
