I love genuinely green businesses. They allow me to lead an ethical lifestyle, they are making a positive difference for the planet, and they have stuck to their principles despite it being the harder, more expensive path to running a thriving company.
So if that’s you, I’m here to help, in any way I can.
Eco-conscious businesses are torchbearers - they lead the way in environmental and ethical practices. They are an example to all businesses.
And yet they are often invisible to audiences, because they don’t know how best to reach them, they have no time to devote to promotion, or they don’t have the money to employ full-time marketing teams.
My services can be called on as and when needed - no need to commit long term (unless you want to!). I’m offering peace of mind that you can always turn to a communications expert who is also green at heart.
How I Can Help
As an experienced journalist and content creator, I’ve spent all my career finding environmental, ethical stories that matter, and working out how to make people stop and pay attention to them.
I now run Ethical Disruption - a media brand covering the climate, nature and pollution emergencies, and promoting ethical living. I am working to a mantra of ‘innovation in communication’.
The following is a list of different ways in which I already help sustainable businesses - and can help yours too. It’s like a pick and mix - not every one will fit every business. But there should be something here that catches your eye, and offers genuine benefits.
“Mark has played an important role in supporting the business - particularly across our events strategy, media announcements, award submissions and wins for key projects, and the coordination of our case study and LinkedIn content. Thank you for the impact you’ve had across the business. We look forward to continuing to work together.”

LinkedIn / AI Search Support
Do you know how important it is to have an active presence on LinkedIn in 2026? Most businesses truly don’t know what’s changed.
When people are searching online for answers related to your business, products or services, it is Artificial Intelligence that delivers the solutions.
More people every day are using AI platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity or Claude to search for information - the best solar / vegan / plastic-free products etc.
Even those still using Google are given an AI answer through Gemini at the top of their search - and most people don’t scroll past that.
So how do businesses get mentioned in AI’s answers?
LinkedIn is now the most cited domain across every major AI platform. The AI searches retrieve answers from sources they have weighted for authority. And LinkedIn content from real people, posting with genuine expertise, and consistency, is weighted the heaviest.
At the same time, LinkedIn’s own algorithm has shifted against company pages, which now receive just 5% of feed distribution, whereas personal profiles receive 65%. Did you know that?
So a green business leader posting as themselves, with genuine authority and genuine opinion, outperforms 12x anything a company page can post, regardless of budget.
This is where I can assist, because I have much experience writing and creating engaging content on LinkedIn. I can write, or help to shape, interesting and relevant stories that build real authority - not just for AI searches, but for the buyers, investors and media who trawl LinkedIn every day.
I can also create graphics to go with the LinkedIn posts - the whole package.
Media Coverage - Trusted Publications
It still pays to be featured in the media - especially trusted publications, because AI searches these for information, too.
Trust in news sources is based not on political alignment, but on factual accuracy, editorial standards, reputation for journalistic integrity, and general consensus among media analysts and fact-checking organisations.
Sources that consistently publish fact-based, well-sourced information are considered more trustworthy.
As an experienced journalist, I know exactly what reporters want, and I have helped numerous companies receive valuable free media coverage. I can help yours, too.
Media Coverage - Ethical Disruption
Ethical Disruption is an independent media brand, with the main website (this one) hosted on Substack. It’s been listed already in the platform’s Top 20 rising publications across the world. Substack has become the destination where the most trusted independent journalism now lives.
When I write about a business, I do it as a journalist. It is editorial coverage, telling real stories that resonate, and build affection and trust with your potential customers.
Website Content
It remains important to have a professional ‘shop window’ when potential customers or clients visit your website.
One thing often missed by businesses is the importance of having blogs or articles showing expertise in your subject - whether these are interviews with key staff members or thought leadership pieces. I can write these for you, too.
How Much Does It Cost?
The above services are charged at my daily rate, just whenever they are needed, and I’m completely transparent about this. It’s £400 for a full day’s work, £200 for half a day. If you’re outside the UK, that’s no problem - I have also helped businesses from the USA to Australia.
You may prefer to go through traditional invoicing, or you can pay on this website once we have agreed on how much I can do for you, and how long it will take.
Simple!
